summer camp registration is Now Open!

All regular camp days begin at 9:00 a.m. and finish at 3:00 p.m. There will be half-day sessions offered for the week of June from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and all other weeks will be full day sessions. Each day, campers should wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes and bring a packed lunch, snack, and water bottle.  

We are offering a discount for multiple campers in your family! If you register two children for the same week, you will receive a 20% discount for your second child. If you register more than two children, the third child and any additional children are free.

Before & After Care Available!

Please note that there is an option to register for an hour of supervised play before and/or after camp for each week. The before-camp option allows you to drop off your child on campus with a counselor at 8:00 a.m., and the after-camp option allows for your child to stay after camp with a counselor until 4:00 p.m.

June 9 - June 12

Camp will begin on Tuesday, June 9, following our last day of school on Monday. For this week of camp, morning and afternoon sessions are offered. The morning and afternoon sessions will run from 9:00 to 1:45 a.m. and 12:15 to 3:00 p.m. respectively. A supervised lunch period will take place between the two sessions for campers who are signed up for an entire day of camp.

Morning Sessions | 9:00-11:45am

Art Camp | $195 per camper - Now FULL

For Rising K-4 | Led by Mrs. Walder and Mrs. Grady

Campers will learn about a different master artist each day and work to emulate the classics with their own creations! Through the use of a variety of mediums, campers will express their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and grow in their love of art.

Field Crafts & Folklore Camp | $195 per camper

For Rising 3-8| Led by Mr. O'Neill and Mr. McGiffin

This brand-new camp offers campers the opportunity to learning about the order of the natural world and grow in appreciation for the beauty that our local area has to offer. Each day, campers will participate in natural history studies, hands-on nature crafts, and the classic art of storytelling. There will be special trivia competitions, nature-themed scavenger hunts, and storytelling challenges for campers to compete in and win prizes. One morning, depending on the weather that week, the group will travel to a local Regional Park to hike, fish, climb trees, and explore the beauty of the natural world.

Basketball Camp | $195 per camper

For Rising 2-8 | Led by Coach Lucky Jones

Campers will receive elite professional training to develop their fundamental skills and love of the game by competing in a wide variety of drills, competitions, and scrimmages. All skill levels are welcome to join; this camp is designed for any child who wants to improve their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Each day will include skill development sessions, personal challenges, fun competitions, and the opportunity for every camper to contribute to their team’s success.

Afternoon Sessions | 12:15 - 3:00pm

Culinary Adventures Camp | $195 per camper - NOW FULL!

For Rising K-4 | Led by Mrs. Stilson and Mrs. Walder

A new camp offering this year, this camp is designed for campers to learn culinary basics, explore healthy and wholesome ingredients, practice safe cooking habits, and develop a love of the art of cooking. Campers will learn about different ingredients and cultural recipes and will be guided to complete different tasks in the preparation, cooking, and presentation process. The group will spend time each day gathering together while enjoying their delicious creations.

While the afternoon session will be structured like the morning session, the lessons, activities, and stories will be different. This means that campers can sign up for both sessions to participate in full days of learning, exploration, and crafting activities! This group will also travel to a local park one afternoon, but not on the same day as the morning group.

Classical Painting Skills | $195 per camper

For Rising 5-8| Led by Mr. Pluta

SJBA art teacher and professional artist, Mr. Pluta, will work with each camper to develop their painting ability and create some beautiful pieces of art. Campers will primarily copy paintings done by other painters. In general, they will first draw the images in pencil on canvas panels, then paint over the drawings.  The paintings will meet the campers at their respective levels, but will additionally be engaging pictures that can challenge them to reach their potential and work on different techniques. Mr. Pluta has worked as a professional painter since 2019, in addition to his time teaching at St. John since 2024. He studied painting with Paul Ingbretson in Boston for two years, and with Henry Wingate in Virginia for one year.

The afternoon sessions will run in the same way as the morning sessions, but campers are welcome to sign up for both sessions in order to spend the entire week working on their game with Coach Lucky!

June 15 - June 19

Renaissance Adventurers Camp - Eagles | $475 per camper

For Rising 3-8 | Led by Mr. O'Neill and Mrs. Crowley

Returning for a second year, this camp aims to introduce campers to a curated selection of classic skills that will ground them in real, interactive hobbies and traditions that will grow their curiousity and sense of wonder. Some activities that campers will work on throughout the week are storytelling and map-making, homestyle cooking and preserving, and leathercraft and woodburning. The group will also venture off campus one day, weather permitting, for a day of kayaking, hiking, and exploration at a local Regional Park. Campers will enjoy a week of immersive fun through games, crafts, and adventure.

Renaissance Adventurers Camp - Eaglets | $475 per camper

For Rising K-2| Led by Mrs. Stilson and Mrs. Walder

Mirroring the ideas and style of the Eagles Group, this group will spend the week embracing their creativity and exploring new crafts, skills, and games. Although they will not travel off campus, the Eaglets will have a festive and fun day filled with water activities and outdoor games.

Basketball Camp | $375 per camper

For Rising 7-12 | Led by Coach Lucky Jones

This is a special basketball offering for older middle schoolers and high schoolers. Coach Lucky works with many high school players in the area, and he is ready to share his expertise and love of the game with the extended SJBA community!

June 22 - June 26

Junior Rangers | $400 per camper

For Rising 3-8 | Led by Ms. Rowan and Ms. Fairbanks

Perfect for curious minds and active explorers, this camp allows for campers to get outside and experience the wonder of nature and history that the local area offers. Each day, the group will travel to a National Park in the area where campers will participate in the National Park Services official Junior Rangers Program, complete fun and educational activities about the park’s history and natural offerings and earn their very own ranger badges. There will also be time for campers to explore, hike, and enjoy our beautiful parks.
