Calling Present and Future Renaissance Adventurers!
Join our new signature SJBA camps for one or two weeks this summer! Carefully planned, the special mix of age appropriate activities of these camps will not only make for great summer fun but also develop the leadership and life skills to prepare the next “Greatest Generation!”
Each morning will begin with team-building and a virtue chat and challenge and then continue to a guild craft or project such as leather craft for the Eagle Group. The morning will finish with games and move into an afternoon featuring time for a brief Scripture exploration, food and hospitality craft—such as learning the art of baking, bbq, and preserves while preparing our own week-end feast! Afternoons will finish with outdoor games, survival skills, and stories—engaging American conundrums, history and heritage.
Twice a week the older campers (Eagle Group) will venture off campus to enjoy and explore the natural beauty that the Chesapeake watershed has to offer. We will spend a day exploring and kayaking on the Potomac River at Algonkian Regional Park and another day hiking, fishing, swimming, and hunting for prehistoric shark teeth on the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay at Calvert Cliffs State Park!
(Campers will be split into two groups for age-appropriate activities: Grades k-3 & Grades 4-8)
*Family Discount: Register two campers, and when you add a third or more, you’ll get $25 off.
Extended Camps are also available from 3:00-4:00 p.m. for $125 per camper.
