Adventures in the Liberating Arts

PLATO'S APOLOGY

You are invited to join us for one of our first forays into “Adventures in the Liberating Arts.”

These liberal arts discussions will be offered at the school. These sessions offer an opportunity for a group of friends to gather and be reinvigorated with many elements hard to find in our busy lives: thinking of important but impractical things, lively conversation, engaging foundational works and ideas of philosophy and Western Christian culture…

Our first adventure is with Plato’s Apology.

Written as a dialogue, this short conversational work of philosophy is approachable and sure to surprise, while offering plenty of food for thought.

There will be no need to read ahead of time, as we will read and discuss Plato’s work during the seminar-style sessions. There will be two sessions, roughly covering the reading in 2 parts.
