Dear Prospective St. John Academy Donor:

On February 6, 2010, St. John Academy in McLean, VA will celebrate its Auction Gala with the theme “It’s a Roman Holiday.”  The St. John Auction Gala is an annual fundraising event that supports the school’s longstanding tradition of excellence in primary education. Central to this event is working with area businesses to forge a partnership with St. John to support our auction and gala with the idea that it will also broaden your clientele.

As our main fundraising event, the Auction Gala attracts wide participation from past and present school parents, extended families, the St. John the Beloved Parish, friends and neighbors, and other members of the community. In St. John’s over 50 year history, thousands of families have been part of the school’s efforts to raise money to improve its programs and facilities, to increase teacher salaries and to offer financial aid. As a result, many individuals, regardless of racial, national, socio-economic or cultural background, have benefited from an outstanding education and experience in their years as students at St. John’s.  

We are asking with this letter if you would please consider supporting St. John’s School with a donation to this year’s auction gala. Your donation of products, gift certificates, services, a unique item or cash benefits our students tremendously, and will undoubtedly provide your business with exposure to potential customers.

All supporting sponsors and donors are listed in the auction catalog, on the school website and also receive recognition during the live auction portion of the evening. The school encourages families to patronize the businesses that have gone out of their way to support the school with a donation or sponsorship. Furthermore, all of your donations are tax deductible.

Enclosed please find an ‘Auction Item Donation Form,’ which can be returned to the Auction Gala Donation Committee, care of St. John’s at the address listed on the form. You may also fax your form to the Auction Committee at 703-248-1983 or e-mail it to spdc4@verizon.net or sjansen@stjohnacademy.org or call Pauline Reynolds, Fundraising Chair at 703-655-7039 with any questions.
